Stoke Survey

Stoke is a key Nelson suburb and a centre for future growth. Around three quarters of Nelson’s population growth between now and 2045 is predicted to occur in Stoke as well as half the new housing. Council wants to make sure that the Stoke centre has the facilitites it needs and is designed to cater to this growing population.

Council has proposed that $200,000 be spent in 2014/15 on further investigation and design for a new community and sports facility at Greenmeadows Reserve. The following survey aims to get the views of Stoke residents to make sure that the facility is what the people of Stoke want and need.

At the same time Council wants to plan in a broader way for an expanding, changing Stoke population. Some of the questions at the end of this survey ask your views on that broader question of a vision for the future of Stoke.
