Queens Gardens Toilet Block Construction

Queens Gardens Report Attachment 2 Artists Impression of Architect cropped

This project is now complete.

What we are doing

Council is building a new architecturally designed toilet block on the Bridge Street side of the Queens Gardens.

The new toilet block will be accessed from the Bridge Street footpath and has been designed to complement the exterior of the adjacent Suter Gallery.  It will contain two unisex toilets, one of which is disabled accessible.

The work is expected to be complete by mid-July 2019, subject to weather or any unforeseen delays.

Traffic Management

There is a footpath diversion in place on Bridge Street and some car parking has been removed temporarily. The traffic flow on Bridge Street is not generally affected but there will be vehicles and machinery accessing the site at times.

Please follow the pedestrian diversion in place and stay out of the work site for your own safety.
