Morrison Street courtesy crossing upgrade
Work starts on Thursday 8 June to upgrade two courtesy crossings on Morrison Street (within Morrison Square). Work will include replacing the existing brick pavers with exposed aggregate concrete, as per all the other crossings. This will also allow for better bicycle access. The contractor hopes to hope to complete the job by early July, subject to weather conditions and any unforeseen circumstances.
Morrison Street will be reduced to a single lane (one way traffic). Entry will be from Selwyn Place and exit onto Hardy Street. This will ensure that the car park is still accessible. The majority of the Morrison Square car parks will be available however we will need to remove some car parks to make space for the temporary pedestrian crossings on either side of the site.
