2018 Top of the South Trapping Workshop

This year’s Top of the South Community Trapping Workshop is scheduled for Saturday 27th October, 8.30am -3 pm at the Headingly Centre, Richmond

Participants will hear what local trapping groups are doing and be updated on predator control strategies for the region.
Included is a presentation from Graeme Elliot from the Department of Conservation on seed mast events and predator dynamics.

The day will also feature practical sessions looking at:

  • Types of traps and baits, and where to get them from
  • Maintaining and calibrating DOC 200 traps
  • Setting up your trap network
  • Monitoring.

The event is hosted this year by the Tasman Environment Trust and supported by Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council.
