(Proposed) Temporary Road Closures - Bisley Avenue & Moana Avenue

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

STAGE 1:

• Bisley Avenue - full length
• Moana Avenue - between Bisley Avenue & Stansell Avenue

STAGE 2:

• Moana Avenue - between Stansell Avenue and Princess Drive

Date and time of scheduled closure: Thursday 1 October to Wednesday 7 October 2026 – 7:00 am to 6:30 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Thursday 8 October to Wednesday 14 October 2026 – 7:00 am to 6:30 pm

The closure is for removal of the speed humps.

• Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available – please follow the directions of onsite staff. Delays are possible.
• Roadside parking will be available.
• Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal.
• Pedestrian access will be provided safely.
• The Route 4eBus will be detoured via Rocks Road for the duration of the closure. Please see ebus.nz for any updates.

To understand how this closure could impact residents/businesses, Council is seeking feedback on this proposal by 12 August 2026
