Approved Temporary Road Closure - Jenner Road

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Kumanu to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Jenner Road - between no.2 and no.39

Date and time of scheduled closure: Monday 14 September to Friday 18 September 2026 – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Contingency is included in the dates above

The closure is for installation of new power ducting and water connections.

• Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available from either end of the closure – please follow the signs and directions of onsite staff. Delays are likely.
• There will be no access through in front of no.21 - a trench will be dug across the full width of the road. (24 hour a day closure)
• Residents within the ‘no access’ work area will be assisted by onsite staff.
• No roadside parking will be available within the work area.
• Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal – with access from either end of the closure.
• Pedestrian access will be provided safely at all times.

This proposal is made in accordance with the Local Government Act 1974. Unauthorised use of vehicles on the road during the closure period is not permitted and may constitute an offence.
