Approved Temporary Road Closure - Marybank Road

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Kumanu to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:
Marybank Road - between State Highway 6 and Seaton Street
Date and time of scheduled closure: Monday 21 September to Friday 25 September 2026 – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Monday 28 September to Friday 2 October 2026 – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
The closure is for underground service investigations.
- Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available – please follow the directions of onsite staff. Delays are likely.
- Roadside parking will be available.
- Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal.
- Pedestrian access will be provided safely.
- The Route 3 eBus will be granted access through the closure and will operate as normal. Please see ebus.nz for any updates.

This proposal is made in accordance with the Local Government Act 1974. Unauthorised use of vehicles on the road during the closure period is not permitted and may constitute an offence.
