Approved Temporary Road Closure - Milton Street

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Kumanu to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:
Milton Street - between no.122 and Cambria Street
Date and time of scheduled closure: Tuesday 10 November to Wednesday 11 November 2026 – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Thursday 12 November to Friday 27 November 2026 – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
The closure is to enable installation of a new water connection to the new development at the corner of Milton and Cambria Streets.
- Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available – please follow the directions of onsite staff. Delays are possible.
- No roadside parking will be available.
- Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal.
- Pedestrian access will be provided safely.
Council would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding when road closures occur.
This proposal is made in accordance with the Local Government Act 1974. Unauthorised use of vehicles on the road during the closure period is not permitted and may constitute an offence.
