Approved Temporary Road Closure - Haven Road

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:
Haven Road - between little Haven Road and the State Highway 6 roundabout
Date and time of scheduled closure: Tuesday 27 October to Friday 30 October 2026 – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (NIGHTWORKS)
Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Sunday 1 November to Friday 6 November 2026 – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (NIGHTWORKS)
The closure is for resurfacing the road with asphalt.
- Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available – please follow the directions of onsite staff. Delays are likely.
- No roadside parking will be available.
- Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal.
- Pedestrian access will be provided safely.
- The eBus will not be affected – the road will close each evening after the last scheduled eBus services of the day. Please see ebus.nz for further information.

This proposal is made in accordance with the Local Government Act 1974. Unauthorised use of vehicles on the road during the closure period is not permitted and may constitute an offence.
