Council Workshop - Representation Review - 30 Sep 2026

Topic: Every local authority is required to undertake a representation review every six years to determine whether its representation arrangements continue to provide fair and effective representation for its communities.

Nelson City Council is required to commence its next representation review in 2026. The review process is governed by a series of statutory requirements and timeframes, with the first key milestone being for Council to adopt its initial representation review proposal by 31 July 2027.
