Status: Operative
The following amendments were made Operative and have been incorporated into the Nelson Resource Management Plan (NRMP).
In accordance with Section 44A [link to RMA section] of the Resource Management Act, the Council is required to implement the National Environmental Standard for Plantation Forestry (NES-PF).
The Ministry for Primary Industries has developed the NES-PF and this came into effect on 1 May 2018.
The NES-PF provides a single set of regulations which apply to commercial forests that are at least 1 hectare of continuous forest cover, throughout New Zealand.
