Amendment 28 September 2009

Status: Operative

The following amendments were made Operative and have been incorporated into the Nelson Resource Management Plan (NRMP).

Alterations to Designations DTR4 (New Zealand Transport Agency) and DTA5 (Network Tasman Ltd) were incorporated into the NRMP in accordance with s181 and a number of minor corrections and updates were also made under Cl.20A, Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act .

Main Changes

Designation DTR4 alteration to provide for the Whangmoa realignment project fulfilled its s181 obligations a number of years ago however due to an administrative oversight the planning maps were not amended. An extension of time to give effect to the designation has now been granted pursuant to s184. The requiring authority name changed so references to Transit NZ have been changed to NZ Transport Agency.
Designation DTA5 notice of requirement for a substation in Hira, pirsuant to s168 fo the Resource Management Act, was received by Council. This requirement was publicly notified on 28 February 2009 with a recommendation made in May 2008. These recommendations were accepted with no appeals.
Minor change to remove the numbering in Chapter 2 Meanings of Words and make it alphabetical
Minor change to Protected trees providing a 'unique identifier' number pinpointing the location using GPS
Minor change to Woodlands providing their own symbology on the maps rather than using the Protected trees symbology.
