Amendment 10 June 2025

Status: Operative

The following amendments were incorporated into the Nelson Resource Management Plan in accordance with Cl.16, Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act.

These amendments provide for the following:

1. ePlan Layer References: Amendments to better describe how map overlays and layers relate to plan provisions. These changes assist users in locating relevant map information, noting current limitations with direct linking from text to maps. Examples: REr.63.5 – “...shown on the Planning Maps (under layer group ‘NRMP General Overlays’)...” AP18.i.a – “...where the Planning Maps (under layer group 'NRMP General Overlays'; layer: 'Scheduled Streets') define a ‘scheduled frontage’...”
2. Formatting Consistency in Rule Lists: A shift to consistently use “; and” at the end of items in numbered lists, aligning with newer rule formatting styles. Example: ICr.75.1 – “Buildings must be set back at least 3m from a Residential Zone boundary; and...”
3. Typographical and Grammatical Corrections: Edits to fix spelling, punctuation, and grammar issues identified throughout the operative plan, where agreed by officers.
4. Clarification of Cross-References: Minor corrections to ensure internal references within provisions are accurate and easy to follow.
