Amendment 27 September 2024

Status: Operative

The following proposed amendments were made Operative and have been incorporated into the Nelson Resource Management Plan (NRMP) and the Regional Policy Statement (RPS):

1. Minor corrections (as a consequence of moving to ePlan and whole plan consistency) were incorporated into the NRMP in accordance with Cl.20A, Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act (RMA).
2. In accordance with Section 55(2A) of the Resource Management Act, the Council is required to implement the National Policy Statement for Urban Development 2020 (NPS-UD), which must be publicly notified (no later than 5 working days) after becoming Operative. Implementation of Policy 7 of the NPS-UD sets housing bottom lines for the short, medium and long term in the Regional Policy Statement (Objective DH1.2.2) and District Plan (DO13A.i), as required under Section 3.6 of the NPS-UD 2020.
