Status: Operative
The following proposed plan change was made Operative and has been incorporated into the Nelson Resource Management Plan (NRMP).
The purpose of this proposed plan change was to introduce:
- New areas for Residential Zoning;
- Increased area in the Rural Zone (Higher and Lower Density Small Holdings in Enner Glynn Valley);
- Retain Rural Zoning in Upper Brook Valley and above the Landfill and York Valley Quarry;
- Transport and biodiversity structure plan; and
- Revised Landscape, Services, Land Management, Fault Hazard and Riparian Overlays, and zoning adjustments (for consistency) to Marsden Valley properties not included in Plan Change 13.
Decisions included the following changes:
- Reference to Māori cultural values in the Biodiversity Corridor;
- Wording changes to the definition and explanatory text for Biodiversity Corridors;
- Increased recognition of the potential impact of increased public access on legitimate rural activities;
- Reduced extent of Rural Zone - Higher Density Small Holdings area and associated Services overlay around the Brook Saddle; and
- Changes for consistency with operative Plan Change 13 'Marsden Valley' provisions.
