Nelson Bus hub opening

Mayor Nick cut the ribbon on the new Nelson Bus Hub as we prepare to welcome eBus to its new home on Friday, 19 December!

This is an important next stage in upgrading Nelson and Tasman’s public transport system following the launch of the new eBus service in August 2023.

The new Nelson Bus Hub brings onto one location the councils’ eBus service with the InterCity and the tourist bus services to the Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes and Golden Bay.

The move to Millers Acre is also part of our strategy to make the central city more pedestrian and shopping-friendly and direct heavy traffic around the ring roads.

eBus is moving!

From Friday 19 December, all eBus services will operate from the new Nelson Bus Hub on Halifax Street. They will no longer depart from or arrive at the old Bridge Street hub.
