The following proposed plan change was made Operative and has been incorporated into the Nelson Resource Management Plan (NRMP).
Main Changes
The purpose of this proposed plan change was to rezone a 5m strip of land adjacent to the Railway Reserve from 'Industrial' to 'Residential'. The area rezoned was included in Designation D9 (Railway Reserve) and the Plan Change involved several other amendments to ensure that the proposed provision is fully integrated into the existing planning framework of the NRMP. Note that the Hearing Commissioner decision was to retain the 'Industrial' zoning as it would not adversly affect either the Industrial or Residential landowners on the eastern side of the Railway Reserve, as the other key provisions have been retained.
No appeals were lodged on this Plan Change.
