Adding a new street number
Street numbers are allocated for:
- subdivisions, as part of the resource consent process
- new dwellings or units when added to an existing property
- rural addresses, when a secondary building requires a supplementary number.
Changing an existing street number
Occasionally the driveway access for a property changes which may generate the need for a new address.
Our role in property numbering
The street numbering standards are set by Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).
The form below is for requesting an additional address for an existing property or when a change of address is required.
A fee is required at the time of submitting your application, the payment details are on the form.
