Parks and Facilities Activity Management Plan

The Parks and Facilities Activity Management Plan 2024-2034 guides Council for the next 10 years in its provision and management of parks and facilities to meet the needs of the community. As well as setting the framework for how Nelson’s parks and facilities will be managed and maintained, the plan identifies where new infrastructure for parks and facilities is needed.

Saxton Field Activity Management Plan

The Saxton Field Activity Management Plan 2024-2034guides provides direction for how Saxton Field is managed and sets out guidance for officers and identifies four priority outcome areas for Saxton Field:

• Sports and Events
• Casual Recreation
• Landscape
• Natural Environment

Governance direction is provided by the Saxton Field Committee, a joint committee between Nelson City and Tasman District Councils with an independent chair.
