Out and About – On Tracks Strategy 2022
The purpose of this Strategy is to provide clear direction to the planning and provision of front country off-road recreation within the Nelson City boundaries to allow continued use and enjoyment by residents and visitors. The 2022 Strategy’s implementation plan is a living document and is expected to change to take advantage of strategic opportunities that will no doubt emerge.
‘Out and About – On Tracks’ should be read in conjunction with ‘Out and About’– Active Travel and Pathway-based Recreation Policy.
The strategy was updated following a council decision in July 2025
