Neighbourhood support

Strengthening neighbourhoods, connecting communities.

Top of the South Neighbourhood Support Charitable Trust is part of a nationwide community-led movement that works collaboratively with individuals, groups and organisations active in our region to improve local participation, accessibility and wellbeing.

Being involved in Neighbourhood Support comes in many shapes and forms. Some groups hold regular social get-togethers such as BBQs and street picnics. Other groups have undertaken projects such as tree-planting in local reserves. Other people like getting our newsletters to keep updated on local events.

We help our members to share information and support each other in tangible ways, such as: getting to know the people living around you, sharing excess produce or resources, developing neighbourhood emergency plans, welcoming new neighbours and/or collecting mail when people are away on holiday.

We aim to make all of our events accessible and free, so that even in tough times, people can join in with their neighbours and have some fun together.
